Business Acumen Training Using Income/Outcome Simulation Game
What sets Lattice apart is its innovative approach to training. Lattice is currently the only firm offering simulation based financial training in Kenya, using the Income/Outcome® Business Game. Income/Outcome has an interactive touch and feel learning method that makes non-finance executives enthusiastic about figures, and knowledgeable about how their daily actions impact company finances. The structure of the Income/Outcome® simulation board supports a visual understanding of the use, importance, and inter-relationship of key financial statements and ratios.
Rather than the usual ‘death by PowerPoint’ the business acumen simulation training is efficient, covering in one or two days what other programs cover in three or four training days. Small groups form the management team of a simulated company. All teams then compete against each other on the market. The workshop is a balanced mix of simulation, decision making, reflection and team presentations – a mix that makes finance easy to understand, and fun to experience.
The Business Acumen training takes place over 1-day and can be customized to meet the needs of a particular industry or client.
In 2013, Lattice Consulting expects to introduce this innovative course in Kenya and the greater Africa. Winnie Ouko has trained scores of finance and non-finance professionals over ten years. Winnie is a director at Lattice Consulting, she also lectures in finance and strategy as adjunct faculty at Strathmore University in programs targeting senior business executives.
Winnie has previously worked for First Africa Capital Limited (Nairobi), Standard & Poor’s (New York), and Price Waterhouse(Nairobi). She is a CPA (K), and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi and an MBA from Cornell University (USA).
