We recently received this email from Rami Joseph at Yissum, and we think it is shareable!

Hi all, I would like to share with you all, a wonderful experience I had during an Entrepreneurial Challenge workshop last week.

We run the Entrepreneurial Challenge workshop for a company called “Go-Million” – they teach people how to become entrepreneurs.

One of the participants in the session was a blind man, and he attended the session a long with his adorable guidance dog.

I don’t know if you ever had a chance to feel an empty tube from the inside but the markings are very useful, not only visually.

The participant describe the use of chips as a powerful learning tool, he quickly learned the location of each chip on the board, and was able to fill the financial report on his own.

At the end of the session the participant came to speak with me, and said that the session was a wonderful experience and now he has an excellent understanding of financial reports and business understanding, furthermore it will help him in developing his future business. What can say guys – I was speechless!

Rami

We are kind of speechless too!

We talk about visual learning… because we know that people carry the image of the game board with them for years. We talk about people in the hallway at Michelin drawing a game board in the air. Obviously the game board is not there, it is the visual in the mind that is being used. But I fooled myself into thinking the visualization was the colour that you could see.

Thanks for reminding me, in such a powerful way, that it isn’t.

NOTE: In 2025, the Better Business Decisions simulation replaces the Entrepreneurial Challenge workshop
