Income-Outcome at the EMBA Council Conference

Published Date
For the fifth year, Andromeda has been a Corporate Member of the Executive MBA Council with a presence at the annual global conference. This year’s event was held at the Omni Galleria in Houston—with a side trip to the Armadillo Palace for an evening of increasingly complicated line dancing.

Conference Highlights
- Inspiring Presentations:
Eliza and I were joined by Helmut Hergeth, the business professor from NC State University who has been using Income|Outcome for over ten years and is our preferred facilitator for academic clients. Helmut co-presented a session with Robyn Blilie and Matthew Goode of the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management on the growing use of experiential learning within the academic curriculum. (Carlson, too, has been using Income|Outcome for over ten years.) - Global Connections:
We also welcomed Leon Grandy from New Zealand. As a Director at Armillary Private Capital—a corporate financial services firm—Leon uses Income|Outcome to raise the financial and business acumen of his clients and has successfully introduced Income|Outcome into Auckland University. - Networking and Engagement:
The event was a huge success for us. In addition to co-presenting a session, Helmut represented us in the Shark Tank on our behalf. We attended numerous sessions and regional meetings, witnessing an ever-growing acceptance of experiential learning. - Academic Impact:
Attendees recognized the unique role of Income|Outcome in academic settings—as a team-builder and a tool to help overcome the Fear of Finance among incoming students. Our Visual Finance app was also showcased for its role in facilitating ongoing discussions about real-world companies.
The Growing Trend of Experiential Learning
Experiential learning is dramatically expanding across the academic world. In recent months, we have welcomed new clients ranging from Cornell University iin the heart of the US to Tromsø University north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. This year in Houston, we renewed friendships, made new acquaintances, and look forward to welcoming new academic partners.
